There is something so unbelievably magic about film in bright light. As I’ve explored film photography these last few months, I’ve learned quite a bit, and I’m convinced it was made for warm, bright light because, my gosh, the highlights are DREAMY.

This family session was initially planned as a Maternity session. But, as we all know, pregnancy and birth have their own plan, and just days before we were set to photograph Jackie, little man had other plans for us and arrived a few weeks early.

Here we are about a month into his sweet and dearly loved life and I was so honored to photograph the beginning of his childhood. Bringing out the backdrop planned for Christmas minis later this year was just the icing on the cake. I think it lent itself to simple and beautiful family portraits. Here are just a few favorites from their family session.
