A Letter From Paris | Paris France Photographer | One year later

A flow of thoughts from a beautiful courtyard just outside the Louvre..

– “It’s”

It’s its openness, its vastness, its grandeur. It’s the way its shadows and highlights bring it to life. It’s the people. Who even when alone are not really alone… Across the courtyard is someone else. Someone else taking it all in. It’s the man in a suit and tie eating a baguette with his fancy shoes to the side, and bare feet on the cobblestone floor. It’s the fountain in the middle of sea of cement. Perfectly placed. Its mist inviting others to sit around as they escape the heat that comes and goes. It’s the statues, architecture and little doors that take you back to another time entirely. It’s the music echoing in the distance that leave you yearning for more. It’s wondering what artist is at the end of it all and the uncertainty of which direction to take to find out. It’s staying put. Stretching your ears to not miss one single note. It’s the moment the music stops that makes your heart ache. It’s the language floating through the air. It’s wishing so desperately to be a part of it. It’s the rush of excitement when someone speaks to you.. because for a second they think you could be one of them. It’s dressing up, putting your feet through hours of pain just so you can look your absolute best for “her.” For PARIS. It’s a moment of relaxation and inspiration. It will not happen if you keep moving.. but will show itself to you when you just quiet yourself to listen. Reminding you to just slow down. Slow. Slow down.

You absolutely needed this, yearned for it and dreamt of it. Soak it all up, but not too much. You need to leave some for others. Don’t worry, you will be back. You will feel again. For now you take these deep breaths and wind on your skin with you. Hoping to carry it with you like a badge of honor. Forever belonging to the echos, streets, sunlight and beat of the city.  Just when you thought you’d leave with just her charm but not her heart, you were wrong. She is so giving.

J’dore Paris… I don’t wan’t to let go…
